New Pastor Announcement

I bring you greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus! My name is Mark Miller and I will be appointed to serve as Pastor of Urbanna United Methodist Church beginning on June 28. I am currently serving as Interim Pastor at New Town UMC in Williamsburg. I retired from active ministry last July, but within three months following my retirement I strongly sensed that God was still calling me to serve and I am looking forward to serving in ministry with you.

I am 62 years old and have nearly 40 years of ministry experience, including 22 years as Pastor of Ebenezer UMC in Stafford, Virginia and 5 years as Pastor at Virginia Beach UMC. In May, my wife (Lynn) and I will be celebrating 38 years of marriage. We have two adult children and three grandchildren. I enjoy reading, hiking, and the outdoors. I also enjoy eating oysters!

I hope to help continue the good work that Urbanna UMC has been doing in the community and I believe God has good things in store for our ministry together in the years that lie ahead. I am thankful for the great leadership that Pastor Bruce Johnson has provided over these past few years and I will be keeping you all in prayer during this time of transition.
